The Writers' Strike is officially over

The Writers' Strike is officially over....good, now they all need to get their arses back into the office and create new episodes of Ugly Betty and Pushing Daisies. If it were not for Eli Stone the Aging Disco Diva would be mired in mediocre reality TV limbo (except for The Biggest Loser of course) A friend, who knows I love dark, twisted comedy, recommended Breaking Bad so I am going to have to check it out. One good thing has come out of the strike: it looks like the Cavemen has gone on to that giant tar pit in the sky. Damn, that was such a stinker of a show that you had to wonder what the hell they were smoking when they decided to turn a one-note commercial concept into a TV series.....

The 3-month-old writers' strike is over, so what's the status of your favorite TV shows?

It's all kind of iffy right now. But here's the plan: Most writers go back to work this week. New sitcom episodes will probably will arrive in four weeks. New dramas will likely will arrive in six weeks.

There could be eight to 10 new episodes of sitcoms airing before this season ends in May and about six new episodes of dramas. Those so-so shows "on the bubble," in Hollywood lingo, may might never return.

Here's the skinny on the networks' prime-time lineups.
